I still think this is one of the best ideas ever, and it’s absurd that it has not been picked up in the way it needs to…yet.

I knew you were a good writer and that you’re hilarious but this is superb! Loved it, and love hearing the story from the beginning. Here to support you in any way I can, C!

Sorry for my late reply and also sorry you read all this when you’ve heard so much about it already 😭 and I didn’t realise you were on here or I would have fully tagged and shamed you when I referenced cash bribing you to analyse those soul destroying insta posts 😂

😂 I’m only on here for you and Conz! And don’t apologize, none of it felt redundant to me especially with all that Caroline wit sprinkled in! And I was very grateful for the work back then, and would gladly repeat if needed. I’m most impressed with how thorough your research was! 80,000 Instagram posts? 🤯 Can’t wait to read the next one!

Fashion, let alone fashion writing, kills me like I'm a lion facing an American dentist. But someone with a surname coincidentally the same as yours commanded me to suffer, and sometimes I need to pretend to be brave. So I trekked and trekked until-

WOW. THIS IS SMART AND FUNNY AND SMART. This is the original print whereas the other Markides might be a knock-off (hey, kidding!). Mythery definitely loves company.

Pleased to meet you, Caroline. I easily imagine you and your idea and work choices in a Wes Anderson movie. I'll have to subscribe to learn the story behind the spotted dick.

I’m printing your comment out and putting it on our fridge so Constantine can be reminded every day HA! Thank you for facing your fashion writing fears to read this crazy piece. I hope I can make a full convert of you in time :)

Loved how your article had a movie feel to it. You as the heroine of something akin to Helen Fielding’s heroines, and yet bringing your idea to the masses and starting a movement. Part of royalties would go to leopards, of course.

Personally I’m not a leopard print fan, but had no idea how far back it went, or how cyclical its appearance in our fashion calendar. Loved your piece.

Thank you so much for the wonderful words! I shamefully only know Bridget of Fielding fans but I’ll 100% take that — I choose Vodka and Chaka Khan every goddam day!

Is it alright if I'm not a fan of leopard print? It always makes me think of Bet Lynch (I'm not a big Corrie fan, either). I am a BIG fan of leopards, if that helps? Congrats on your first post!

Thanks so much! And trust me, when you’ve seen 80,000 leopard print news editorials you have pretty mixed feelings as well! There was a time I couldn’t look at it at all… Haven’t seen Corrie in years myself but the Bet Lynch association is so strong for so many — her own kind of icon

And can fully relate to the whole “others have had this idea before” sentiment when it comes to FEP, and your reaction of “why didn’t anyone write it down?”…
